Salvatore Gambino (born 27 November 1983, Hagen) is an Italian-German[1] footballer who plays for Trapani Calcio. Gambino plays in the midfield, but can play as a striker as well.

Since 1996, Gambino has been playing for Borussia Dortmund, first with the C-juniors, later with the B-juniors, then the A-juniors and then the amateur team. He completed the 2003–04 season with twenty league appearances in the season. Due to injuries, in the 2004–05 season, he only played in ten league games for Dortmund.[2] He is noted as a player with a good dribbling technique and is an exciting prospect for German football. Gambino transferred to 1. FC Köln in summer 2006[3] and joined after two years TuS Koblenz in June 2008, he was released on 24 June 2009[4] and joined on 3 September 2009 on trial to Rot-Weiss Ahlen.[5]
